Designing your kids bathroom should bring out your inner kid every time. Let your imagination fly and you'll be shocked at how many kids bathroom ideas you will have in no time. Remember, with a kids bathroom you'll need to take the opposite approach that you would for your own. We enjoy relaxing and sooth bathrooms while kids enjoy bright, fun, and colorful decoration.It might sound funny, but choosing light colors such as baby blue, light yellow, or a soft pink can literally make your life much easier. It can help motivate them spend more time playing in the bath tub or brushing their teeth. You can also use wallpaper designs but make sure you ask your hardware if it can withstand steam and is OK for bathroom applications.
Ideas that Kids Appreciate in the Bathroom
Some of these ideas might seem really obvious while some may not at all. I've tried to include tips from both spectrums just to give you an idea of how much you really can do with your kids bathroom.
- Keep stuff low - Do your best keeping accessories such as towel hangers and possibly even light switches. Don't go too low as they won't appreciate bending down after growing a bit.
- Storage is key - Too much storage can never hurt. Try to create some handy storage for their toys near the tub. Don't worry as this storage can later be used for shampoos, loufas, and sponges.
- Keep stuff simple - Try not to get carried away with all types of fancy faucets, keep them simple and straight forward (try to also keep them low.) Also, think of your kids hygiene. Larger toilet bowls tend to keep that area a little cleaner as well (for the boys.)
